Whale watching tour in Hermanus

We go along the N2 towards Sir Lowry’s Pass where you can have a staggering perspective of False Bay. From that point we visit the “heart” of the Cape Whale Coast, which is the well-known coastline resort town of Hermanus, considered by many to be the “Best land based whale watching spot In the world”.
We visit the African Penguins at Stoney Point penguin colony, and if there is still time we visit the Harold Porter Botanical gardens before we return back to Cape Town. Please note that this tour does not run all year out, it runs from August to mid November each year.

West Coast tour

The West Coast visit takes you through Milnerton and Melkbosstrand, to the towns of Yzerfontein, Langebaan and Darling. At Melkbosstrand we will stop to take a photo of Table Mountain where it is considered by many to be the best place to get an extraordinary picture of Table Mountain. On this visit we will likewise stop off at the West drift fossil stop where you can see the fossils of bears, saber-tooth felines, short-necked giraffes and the numerous other fascinating creatures which occupied the west coast area a large number of years back. The West Coast National Park in Langebaan is home to more than 300 types of winged animals. The white sand shorelines encompassing the reasonable waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are one of the primary attractions of Langebaan. On our arrival we drive through the town of Darling, with its collectables, art, craft and gift shops, from that point we return back to Cape Town.

We travel along the N2 towards Sir Lowry’s Pass where you can have a spectacular view of False Bay. From there we visit the “heart” of the Cape Whale Coast, which is the popular seaside resort town of Hermanus, considered by many to be the “Best Land Based Whale Watching Spot In The World”.  We visit the endangered African Penguins at Stoney Point penguin colony, and if time permits we visit the Harold Porter Botanical gardens before we return back to Cape Town. This tour is seasonal, from July to August each year.

West Coast tour

The West Coast tour takes you via Milnerton and Melkbosstrand, to the towns of Yzerfontein, Langebaan and Darling. At Melkbosstrand, we will stop to take a picture of Table mountain which is considered by many to be the best place to get a great picture of Table Mountain. On this tour, we will also stop off at the West coast fossil park where you can see the fossils of bears, sabre-tooth cats, short-necked giraffes and the many other exotic animals which inhabited the west coast area millions of years ago. The West Coast National Park in Langebaan is home to over 300 species of birds. The white sand beaches surrounding the clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are one of the main attractions of Langebaan. On our return trip, we drive through the town of Darling, with its antiques, collectables, craft and gift shops, made famous for its flower shows, and by Pieter-Dirk Uys, well known for his character Evita Bezuidenhout (www.evita.co.za), thereafter we return back to Cape Town.
