The name Garden Route stems from the abundant greenery, it is a region of spectacular mountains, placid lakes and endless sandy-white beaches. If we criss-cross the spectacular mountains we experience the hot dry Karoo and the temperate coast.
The Garden Route is an area between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth presenting unique stop overs and mountainous regions which many years ago were the only connecting route between the towns.
Over time roads, mountain passes and bridges tend to linkup which soon became known as the Garden Route. The Garden Route is all about the abundance of blue skies, white sandy beaches, spectacular mountains and indigenous forests. Local hospitality would include malls, golf, bungee jumping, craft markets, country stalls, sun drenched orchards, lakes, wild life and the antics of a few ostriches. |
